Let's change our city together.
The Texas Dream Center partnered with churches across Houston where hundreds of volunteers came to serve our city in three locations. We partnered with the Houston Food Bank to fight hunger packing over 16,000 meals. Teams went to downtown Houston passing out water and socks to over 300 homeless. Praying, fellowshipping and spreading the love of Christ. The Star Of Hope is a organization that provides spiritual and practical needs for the homeless and other people dealing with different life issues. We served the men in the program there with speaking the word, fellowshiping and eating together.
Teacher Appreciation Day: We know that teachers are highly undervalued in today’s society. We want to take the opportunity to serve them and provide a homemade Thanksgiving meal to say thank you along with an appreciation gift for 60 staff members.
Mentorship Program :This program will be to meet and engage at-risk students to help them develop in social relationships, leadership, life skills and interpersonal relationships.
Teachers Assistance Program (TAP): This program will help teachers in various aspects including classroom, administration, child behavioral issues, classroom supplies, pep rallies and field trips.
Texas Dream Center partnered Baker Ripley Community Center and Charter School for their Back to School Fair. We distributed over 700 backpacks full of school supplies and serving in areas as assigned by Baker Ripley.
Bruce Elementary and all their families were severely impacted by Hurricane Harvey and it’s our prayer to bring hope to them this holiday season.
The Texas Dream Center would be honored to have you be a part of our annual Christmas toy drive. We do not want to simply give a toy away, but rather restore dignity to the community. We want to empower the parents to feel they are providing for their families themselves and it’s our desire to create an atmosphere filled with joy, love and hope.
We will be creating a shopping mall for parents by giving them the opportunity to hand select their child’s presents, wrap them and put them under their tree for Christmas morning. While they are shopping, their children will get to hear a life-giving message and participate in a meaningful craft.
